CanAge Communities is an initiative that seeks to create a network of regional volunteer-led advocacy groups across the country. Currently in its Pilot Phase, we’re building the first community group in BC in 2022.
The goal of CanAge Communities is to build capacity to effectively respond to emerging issues affecting older adults at the grassroots level. The volunteers will also mobilize national advocacy efforts within their jurisdictions, taking into account regional context to support public policy reform.
CanAge Communities gathers CanAge Members of all ages to participate in town halls and coordinated advocacy campaigns. They help to identify and tackle regional issues with operational support from CanAge.
Interested in participating? Please fill out the form below to become a free member of CanAge and receive our newsletter and important updates. Membership comes with no obligation and there are no hidden fees. Members in BC will receive more information about how to get involved in upcoming town hall meetings. If you’re outside BC, we’ll reach out to you when we launch a Community in your region!
