Today, CanAge wrote letters to all federal party leaders on the critical issue of protection for Canadian pensioners. We have been strongly advocating in support of Bill C-253, which seeks to safeguard defined benefit pensions by addressing the unfairness of current bankruptcy laws, which has yet to be passed.

Pension protection is a serious concern for 4.2 million Canadians who rely on defined benefit pensions for their livelihood in retirement.

As we approach a probable federal election, we will continue working with federal parties, and a potential new government, to ensure no pensioner is left destitute when their past-employer goes bankrupt.
